In a race, the runner has to work out how much time they have to run this race and the distance to cover. Therefore, the runner has to pace well to win. Likewise, we need to pace ourselves well in the race of life.

Secret #1 Speed

Just because a runner can run fast, it doesn’t mean they need to put all their effort into the race at the start. Likewise, you and I need to keep an eye on our pace. The way you pace yourself is not the way I do. Do things at your own pace, go neither too slow nor too fast; Work at finding the right pace. Let it be a safe pace so you don’t burn out.

Plan to take breaks from your daily grind for refreshment. Then, keep the pace that works and gives results.

It’s great to have life goals based on your vision for your life. A certain goal may become more important at a certain time of life while later on it will take a lesser place. However, it’s all about knowing how to spread your strength well so you can stay in the game. 

Secret #2 Strength

As you go through life, sometimes you can face the unexpected. It can be a massive door open in front of you—favor. It can be something beyond what you can even imagine. Other times, it can be an obstacle on your path. That’s why a life runner needs to be strong to endure what’s on the way. The word ‘endure’ means to harden. This tells me you and I need to be stronger than what we face. So, be proactive; work on your strength.

That’s the way you and I should be on the journey of life. This will help to endure and enjoy the journey. Today is the best day. While goals can help you target what needs done, learn to live in the moment. Don’t live life hoping when this and that happens, that’s when you’ll be happy. Enjoy the ride of the journey!

While enjoying the journey, it’s inevitable to focus on the finish line.

Imagine you’re an athlete. Your eyes need to stay on the finish line. When it seems to be too hard, you need to encourage yourself so you can finish the race. You want to reach the finish line safe and sound. For that to happen, you will need to slow down when necessary and speed up at other times. Only you know what works for you. So, on life’s journey, although there are times to take risks, the right pace will help you reach the finish line as a winner.

Let’s learn to enjoy the race of life at our own pace while remembering that our aim is to reach the finish line.
